10. Donguan Costal City Urban Design

In traditional urban cultural development, the "four cultural buidlings" model has become a standard choice in urban planning.

However, the urban design of Dongguan Binhaiwan New District breaks free from this model, focusing instead on reconfiguring the functional spaces. It integrates commerce, culture, and urban life into an organic whole. The original “four cultural buildings” model has evolved into N cultural buildings, with each building reduced in size, while the overall scale remains unchanged. The isolated cultural center have been deconstructed into a cultural city composed of N interconnected cultural buildings.
